Long-term pressure for improvements bears fruit

The Lib Dem team of councillors in North Road ward, Fred Lawton, Mike Barker and Anne-Marie Curry, have been working hard to secure improvements to the Rise Carr area of the ward.
They have had some success, but over the last few months there have been even more remarkable improvements. The internal refurbishment of all the flats and houses was certainly needed and, despite a few individual problems, it has gone well and residents are happy.
Now improvements have been made to the pathways, courtyards, gardens and fencing. It has been a real success and the whole area is looking very smart and tidy.
Every month Cllr Fred Lawton has an official estate walkabout with officers from Housing and Street Scene. Look out for them and if you have anything to say, good or bad, please approach Fred and tell him about it.
You don't need to wait for that of course, you can ring any Councillor at any time.
