Greg Stone: Top Choice for Sedgefield
The North East's longest serving MP - Rt. Hon. Alan Beith MP will officially launch Greg Stone and the Liberal Democrat's campaign tomorrow at 2.30pm. Alan will be joined by the Shadow Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Andrew Stunell MP and popular local campaigning MEP Fiona Hall. The venue of the launch will be confirmed tomorrow (Friday, 6th July).
Greg said, "This is the first of many visits from a number of prominent MP's and other high profile members of the party. We have made a flying start to the campaign and it clear that this is going to be a straight fight between us and Labour. People are responding to our positive campaign and quite frankly disgusted with Labour and their negative spinning that has already started. People on the doorstep are scratching their heads and wondering if Labour will have anything positive to say? This is despite running the Council for decades and having a Labour MP for 70 years. More and more people are joining our campaign for a positive change for our area."
