Council Group Officers Elected

At its Annual Meeting on Thursday, May 10th, the Darlington Liberal Democrats Council Group elected its officers for the year 2007-08.
Leader: Cllr Martin Swainston
Deputy Leader: Cllr Peter Freitag
Secretary: Cllr Mike Barker
Meeting Chair: Cllr Malcolm Dunstone
Councillors were also nominated for our allocated vacancies on the various committees of Darlington Borough Council:
General Licensing Committee: Cllrs Dunstone and Lawton
Planning Applications Committee: Cllr Freitag
Environment Scrutiny Committee: Cllr Dunstone
Lifelong Learning Scrutiny Committee: Cllr Lawton
Public Protection and Community Partnerships Scrutiny Committee: Cllr Barker
Resources Scrutiny Committee: Cllr Swainston
Social Affairs and Health Scrutiny Committee: Cllr Freitag
Human Resources Committee: Cllr Swainston.
In additions, councillors were nominated for the various public forums.
