TUESDAY, JANUARY 30th 7pm. THE MEETING ROOM, HARROWGATE HILL METHODIST CHURCH, BOWMAN STREET
It is important that people have a voice in shaping their community and their local services.
The Red Hall and Firth Moor Residents' Associations led the fight for their community centres. The Whinfield Residents' Association led the community's opposition to two huge housing developments on green field land and co-ordinated a forward plan for the Whinfield area.
With this in mind, the Harrowgate Hill Focus Team have arranged a public meeting to discuss setting up a Residents' Association for Harrowgate Hill. By forming a Residents' Association, people will have a bigger voice in trying to get the council to listen to what they want.
We would also like your views on forming a Neighbourhood Watch in Harrowgate Hill. The Neighbourhood Watch
Co-ordinator, Jacqui Snowball, will be present at the meeting.
An invitation is also being made to young people to attend the meeting to explore how their voice can be heard and how they can play their part in the community.
